Ridgecrest sells The Frederick SportsPlex

Ridgecrest is pleased to announce that Tony Checchia and his team of investors purchased the Frederick SportsPlex, a 65,000 SF facility on Frederick’s northside which Ridgecrest built in 1999 and which remains Frederick County’s only indoor team sports facility. Checchia had managed the facility for Ridgecrest since June, 2009.

Peter Franchot, Maryland’s Comptroller, visited the Beachley Furniture factory today to present the company with its distinguished “Better With Less” award, recognizing the company for its outstanding operating results in a very difficult economic climate. Franchot said that Beachley represented “the heart and soul of the Maryland economy.” This was the only such award given in Washington County. DuPont Awards Furnishings Contract to Beachley Furniture Co.

Beachley announced that the company has been selected to provide the seating in the dining room of the New Renaissance Building located in DuPont’s Chestnut Run Campus in Wilmington, DE. The product that was selected was SLAB ONE from the Company’s new GEOMETIC’s line. The project was awarded through KlingStubbins of Philadelphia and kicks off Beachley’s entrance into the Philadelphia market.
