Frederick SportsPlex (FISC, the Frederick Indoor Sports Center)

Ridgecrest constructed the Frederick SportsPlex in 1999.  Located on Frederick’s northside, the SportsPlex is a 65,000 SF facility with many team and individual sport options, including two full-sized playing fields.  On November 30, 2011, Ridgecrest sold the SportsPlex to Tony Checchia and an investor group which he organized.  Checchia had managed the facility for Ridgecrest since June, 2009.

The Historic Tyler’s Spite House

Constructed on East Church Street in 1817, this three story 9,700 SF townhouse is one of Downtown Frederick’s most notable structures. It is adjacent to City Hall and a block from the County Courthouse. For many years, this landmark property was a home to some of the region’s most distinguished residents. Prior to Ridgecrest’s purchase, the property was a bed and breakfast. Ridgecrest converted the property to business use in 2007.

Mt. Airy Service Station and Convenience Store

Constructed to state-of-the-art safety specifications in an out parcel from Mt. Airy’s premiere shopping center in 1997, this property is strategically located less than a mile north of I-70 on busy MD Route 27. The convenience store on the property has been recently renovated, and the station’s environmental record is exemplary. The property is rented in a NNN basis to Hagerstown’s Ewing Oil Co. until 2020.
